Ashes to Ashes World Premier

Hope you tuned into Fun4all Radio and/or Blazzing Radio Friday, 8/22/08 a little after 8:00pm. If you did you caught Six Syllable Sin on DJ PartyTime's show between the hours of 8:00 pm and midnight doing interviews and premiering the new version of "Ashes to Ashes" featuring Jodon on lead vox. The show was a smash and the band (as I am sure everyone else who tuned in did) had more fun than they anticipated.

The show was full of surprises, one being that the band didn't tell Jodon that two of his acoustic songs were mixed, burned and would be played on the air that night. Not even the DJ's nor the Stations knew that was going to happen. Surprise! Another surprise was when Jodon picked up an acoustic guitar and played live on the net, a song of his he had been working on that no one had ever heard before then. Another surprise was when Bruce and Scott picked up the guitars (they said they were not going to do that) and did an old Jack Static song.

The band was in and out of the chat rooms answering questions, doing interviews and just plain old having fun as I am sure you did to. As was decided we will definitely be doing this again.

The new version of Ashes to Ashes is posted to all of our sites now. But in order to hear either of Jodon's songs from that night you are going to have to request it from either Fun4all Radio or Blazzing Radio as they wont be posted on any of our sites. Check out the photos on the photos page.

Again a big special thanks goes out to DJ PartyTime, Kimmey, Deb and all the DJ's at Fun4all Radio and John and all the DJ's at Blazzing Radio. And last but not least a huge thank you to everyone that tuned in just to listen or even took a chance and hopped into a chat room. I heard reports there were some pretty decent and respectable numbers that night. Again Thanks! Can't wait until next time!

Goodbye to the Fuzzy Bears Den

Six Syllable Sin bids a fond goodbye to the Fuzzy Bears Den who recently closed their doors for personal reasons. The Bears Den was this band's first exposure to Internet radio just a short time ago and we thank them for the good times and the opportunity they gave us to get our music out there and heard by a wider audience. This band wishes them well in their future endeavors.

Two premier Internet radio stations and friends of this band. Both stations have music 24/7 in all different flavors. In the Studio

We will be back the studio this fall to do some recording and our goal is to end up with either an ep or a whole album of material. Whether its an ep or a whole album depends on the amount of time this project will take. Yeah these things take time and no one wants to wait a year to get a cd out there, we are hoping to have a cd out by early next year if not sooner. So be patient, it will be worth it.

Photo Shoot

The band has been tossing around ideas and scoping out locations to do a photo shoot to get some professional looking promotional photos out there. One location being an old local cemetery and the other and old abandoned mill site. Hell, maybe we'll do both. That would be fun. Now we just have to wait for the leaves to fall off the trees and we can't rush mother nature, we tried and she didn't like that.

Jodon's New Tattoo

Jodon sports the newest tattoo in the Six Syllable Sin ranks taking the title away from Bruce who got his earlier this year. Check out the pictures, he did this one himself after getting home from watching Bruce's other band Bar Code play one Saturday night.

If anyone has any ideas for a Six Syllable Sin tattoo let us know, you never know where that could end up.

SixSyllableSin.com Site Updates

First of all I would like to apologize for it taking so long to get this site updated. I wanted to have it done before the “Ashes to Ashes” premier with PartyTime the other week but there just was not enough hours to get everything that needed to get done, done. MySpace is easier and quicker to update but it is also very limiting as to what you really can do with it. That is why we have this site.

With summer unofficially over now and fall just around the corner that should free up more time and allow for more frequent updates to this site and additions to the dairy. If you are on our email list you will get notified when this site is updated, or when there is any new band news or, sometimes we drop everyone a line just to say hello.

A Few Words on Shameless Self Promotion

Or maybe I should have worded that a little differently, it is an eye catching title though. Six Syllable Sin thanks the fans, freinds and families, radio stations and dj's, other local and not so local bands for the tremdous amount of support and ecouragement we have received along the way. We in turn show our appreciation and thanks to all of you in any way we can. This bands journey has only just begun so hang on.

As of this website update sixsyllablesin.com has cleared over 6000 hits from around the globe. Our MySpace page has over 2100 views, over 1300 song plays and our friends list is getting bigger at an astonishing rate. We are currently #10 on the Forbidden Radio chart. Our ReverbNation band score well over doubled in the last two weeks (that’s a good thing) and I currently listening to “Ashes to Ashes” being played on one of the internet radio stations. Sorry cant listen to them both at the same time. So thanks to everyone! Without you that wouldn’t be possible.

I Really Don’t Know What to Title this

Was it an experiment that went terribly wrong, are we all being watched, were the police called, where in the hell is my wallet. Wow, that first sentence really makes you think doesn’t it?

This video has nothing to do with anything stated in that first paragraph. It is a short video of what went on during a rehearsal break not that long ago. Be forewarned though that that this is raw footage and some of the language used may be offensive to some people.

Other than that it was just an experiment to see how long it takes to upload a video for future reference and thought we would share it with you.

Maybe I should have titled this: It’s not what you see but what you don’t see.
